This is what the EP sounds like: Horse Play Pt3
There was an uneasy energy as the crowd slowly adjusted to what had just happened to them. Before the group could take in their surroundings in any great detail the ground wobbled a litttle and the crowd let out a small yelp. The ground began to lurch underneath them. Some of them fell, the rest of them struggling to stay on their feet. Everyone was very unsettled. “Where are we” said on of them? “In the future” said the Rhonda Fish. “In The future, as seen through the eyes of the ‘half elephant, half man’ man.”
The ‘room’ they were in (which many believed was a cloud up in the sky seeing as thats where it had appeared they had gone to) was large and, unfortunatly it was cliched. The walls were see through, or covered in a huge image projection. It was quite hard to tell which. Whatever it was, it showed the most wonderful images of lands slowly passing by. Strange mountains with snow on the bottom and palm tree’s on the top, and sea that was dry and land that was wet. This was the realm of the future, where everything seemed to have been reversed and also, so it would seem, someone had successfully mated with an elephant, because the next thing they saw gave them all quite a shock.
Lumbering out of a clearing from some trees (with branches and leaves at the bottom and then a huge trunk protruding upwards like a thick flag pole) came a beast with the body of an elephant and the head of a man. The crowd muttered sympathetic mutterings to each other, it must be terrible being half man half elephant they thought. As it turns out, it wasnt quite as bad as it could have been, for the next beast out of the woods had the body of a man but the head of an elephant. Definatly the worse way round of the too, as things weren’t in scale but in actual size. The huge head wobbled from side to side on the body of the small man, and each way it wobbled, the body would follow in a desperate attmpt to maintain some sort of balance.
Coming over towards them, in a defiantly ‘not straight’ line, the second beast opened its mouth and trumpeted at them. The sound was so loud they thought God was talking to them. That wasnt as loud as the next noise, for the response seemed to come from all about them, shaking the very core of everything around them. It seemed like they were right in the middle of the sound, like they were small spectators slammed right into the head of someone. And slowly, what the Rhonda Fish had said a short while earlier began to dawn on them, as they realised they were right in the conciousness of the elephant man from the future. And the ground had been moving because, like Jesus in Nazareth, the elephant man had, it appeared, been riding into town on a donkey..

The noise that came out of the Rhonda Fishes mouth was unlike anything the crowd had ever heard before. It was a contradiction in sound. It was both speach and noise at the same time, both deep pitched and high at the same time, soft and harsh, gentle and firm, quiet and loud. It was a beautiful sound in its own unique way.
The Rhonda Fish explained that strange times were just around the corner. That pretty soon the trees would begin to float, and the rain would pour upwards from the ground. The air would get trapped in little plastic pockets, turned into bubble wrap and the ground would be only two and a half weeks old. All this was conveyed in her own beautifully contradicted, and utterly inimitable style.
The crowd didn’t know quite what to make of this, but before they could give it too much thought, they were interrupted by the voice of a small child. He had missed the arrival of the stranger in town but had been drawn gently in by the tangible electricity in the Rhonda Fish’s voice, like gravity passing slowly through the dimensions of his being.
The voice of the child sung the most peaceful melody in the most pure of tones. At the same time the Rhonda Fish began to emit a bright light again, as though she was triggered by some deep connection between her and the boy. The light seemed to hover in the air around the crowd, with a texture to it that they could almost reach out and touch. Slowly this texture began to take shape into something more perceptible, forming what looked like stationary raindrops of light. Then, suddenly, the drops stretched up high into the sky, piercing into a cloud overhead. The cloud appeared to part slightly where it had been struck by the columns of light, and through the breaks the crowd below could just make out the outlines of people moving about. They just stood there, gazing up into the sky, unable to articulate the beauty they were witnessing and the peace they felt, overwhelmed by what was happening. As if a record slowing to a standstill on an old turntable, everything just stopped and time stood still, people were suspended in mid air, frozen to the spot as the earth dropped away from them. The music from the boy had paused on one long held note which began to rise in tone as the earth disappeared from site beneath them. The gaps in the clouds were getting ever closer, and as the pitch of the voice rose, the size of the gaps increased. In what felt like a matter of seconds, though was in actual fact an unmeasurable period of stopped time, the crowd had reached level with the cloud and had risen through the gaps. Then, with what felt like the old turntable starting up slowly again, things came gradually back into focus. The boy stopped singing, and the Rhonda Fish smiled, they had arrived..
Tune in to our next release to get the next instalment :)

Riding into town wearing the Emperor’s new clothes and a bobble hat, Le Jockey caused quite a scene. Panic and confusion spread rapidly amongst many of the more narrow minded people in town and pretty soon they had all bolted home, locked their doors, and turned on some S Club Juniors to help ease them back to their happy place.
But for the curious and oblivious that remained, the next 25 minutes would be a time of wonder, joy, and curiosity, mixed in with just a slight hint of mischief…
Leaping off his horse and landing squarely on his side, Signor Jockey rolled around in the mud for a few seconds. Springing to his feet and straightening up his ruffled Emperor’s clothes, he took a long hard look at the people around him. Suddenly he reached down into the muddy ground, grabbed at something, and, struggling to contain the thing, slowly pulled an object from the ground.
The crowd edged in closer, holding their breath and straining to see what lay concealed in his hand. Whatever it was, it was wriggling around furiously and franticly, emitting a bright light which was leaking out between the cracks in his fingers. Slowly opening his hand, the light flooded out and engulfed the crowd. Simultaneously, they let out a muted gasp. Sat square in the middle, and now lying perfectly still, was a tiny little fish no bigger than a 2p coin.
Clearing his throat, Jockey announced boldly to the crowd:
‘Behold the weird and wonderful Rhonda Fish. There is only ever one Rhonda Fish in the world at any one time. And I am the keeper of the Rhonda Fish. Now, listen and hear what the Rhonda Fish has to say.’
And at this point the fish opened its tiny mouth and said…
To find out what the Rhonda Fish says, look out for the next part of the story with the next release on Thursday 22nd Feb 2010.
You will need an unstuffer to extract it once downloaded. On a Mac it will do this automatically, on a PC you will need to download this winrar software which is free and amazing :)
